Aneroid barometer issued by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) to aid fishermen and coastal communities in predicting weather changes. Signed Negretti and Zambra, London, and first issued in August 1883. Negretti and Zambra, along with Dollond, were the primary suppliers known for their quality and reliability.
The RNLI was founded in 1824 and exists to save lives at sea.
