Details

Brand new old stock, these lock-back collector’s pocket knives feature intricate scrimshaw by master artist Sam McDowell. The blades are etched on one side with “Collectors Knives by Sam McDowell” and on the reverse with “Surgical Steel, Seki City, Japan.” Each knife is individually scrimshawed on camel bone, decorated on both sides, and signed, dated, and titled by McDowell himself.

The knives showcase engraved silver bolsters, an ornate file-work spine, and a classic nail nick for easy opening. Designed by Sam and crafted exclusively for him in Seki City, Japan, these knives were produced by the renowned Kai Cutlery Company—descendants of the legendary Samurai sword makers and among the finest cutlers in the world.
