Details

We are honored to present an exquisite bronze plaque commemorating the sinking of the USS Maine on February 15th, 1898. The explosion and sinking in Havana Harbor were pivotal events leading to the Spanish-American War. This memorial plaque, authorized by Congress in 1911, pays tribute to the 268 brave American sailors who perished in the tragedy.

We value preserving history and honoring those who served.

Bronze salvaged from the ship was fashioned into these memorial plaques, distributed to survivors and displayed in cities across the United States to commemorate the lives lost.
